I get it, it's hard, and you're anything like me, COVID-19 has been consuming your thoughts lately.

"What's next?" "How long will this last?" "Am I taking enough precautions?"

Quarantine has left a weight of suffering over many, as uncertainty makes a place in everyone's new normal. Today, may I shed some light on the unfortunate events spanning the world.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I

will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28

1) We are a body that needs each other:

Despite being distanced, we still need each other. We were made for community and showing love through service (even being apart) is essential.

"There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink." -1 Corinthians 12:12-13

  • Meet via Zoom or Facetime with friends.

  • Mail a letter to someone from your church.

  • Make cards for healthcare workers you know.

2) Know that God is fully in control:

God sees and hears each of the worlds cries and sorrows, and you can take comfort knowing none of this painful season will be wasted. God works all things for our good.

  • James 4:8

  • Luke 12:25-26

  • Psalm 27:1

3) Find solace spending time with God

Allow God to heal your hurt in this time. Although it's much easier said than done, surrender and let God be God. Use this time to recenter your life on Gods will and constantly look for ways to abide in Christ, because He needs your full attention.

  • Read your Bible!! COMMIT and make being in the word a priority (No matter what your schedule looks like!)

  • Stream sermons + worship by Youtube or Instagram.

  • Find joy in worship. Listen to our Psalm 75:1 playlist on Spotify or Youtube.

4) Make normality in the ordinary

I challenge you to make it a priority to go on a walk, do yard work, cook, clean or journal in your spare time. God delights in the ordinary and will be with you even in the simple activities like these.

  • Get some fresh air and sunshine.

  • Do something you love and have a passion for.

Whatever your life looks like right now, may God's promises flood your mind, replacing any fear and worry. May you be reminded who your comforter is. He will deliver you and grant you peace of mind.
