Don't Lose Hope

Hi sweet friends - It’s Rachel from @mercyremains and I am so excited to be given this opportunity to speak about about hope in uncertain times.

Our lives are constantly changing. At times, we may experience overflowing joy, while at other times, it may feel like we are drowned in fear and sorrow. Especially today, it may seem like all joy is lost and is overcome by worry.

So how do we find hope in these uncertain times? Where do we find hope, when it is so easy to look at our current circumstances and be discouraged?

Christ is the only one who remains constant in every season of life. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His voice will be our comfort to get us through each day.

My friend, Jesus has overcome the devil and has become our sure foundation. He is the one we can lean on in the midst of uncertain times.

What does the Bible say about finding hope in the midst of chaos?

Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”

Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea”

1 Peter 5:7says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you”

Isaiah 41:10 says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand”
