When I was in 5th grade, my parents and I went to Disney World for the first time after years of saving, and months of great anticipation! I quickly realized that it was one of my favorite places on earth!

I remember thinking, "What if God designed us to live our whole life like we do when we're in Disney World?" To the full, wide eyed, fearless, joy filled, exploring, conquering, patient, laughing, shameless, in community, and squeezing His hand tightly through the ups and downs.

While my family and I raced around Disney World with our fast passes, I sensed God saying to me, "There's no such thing as a ‘Fast Pass’ in life, Jaida." It was literally such a big slap in the face. Experiencing Jesus means that we are brimming with uncontainable joy, the mark of His presence in and around our lives. I've come to realize that sometimes joy is MORE complete when you've faithfully and patiently waited (John 15:11)

Let's be patience ‘riders’, trusting that He who goes before us is SO faithful, and He desires that our joy might be complete!

As we stood in line for the test track ride in Epcot, the thought never crossed my mind to get out of line because I was tired of waiting, but it got me thinking. How often have I missed a "ride" in my own life, because I wasn't willing to patiently wait? Or because I was looking for a fast pass to no avail?

Let's be patience ‘riders’, trusting that He who goes before us is SO faithful, and He desires that our joy might be complete! Especially while the whole world is facing this pandemic, it can be really hard to not was to snatch up a Fast Pass whenever you feel like it.

My prayer for you during this time is to embrace patience, confidently knowing that will produce more joy that can only come from our Father.

What are you patiently waiting for? Ask God if He wants you to stay in line or step out and wait for something better. Or maybe you just recently stepped out of line because you got tired of waiting.

Ask Him to show you what He wants you to wait patiently for, His timing is perfect.
