Hi lovelies, it's Bekah here, from Grace Over Pride. I wanted to take this amazing opportunity to speak about "Patience." This is something I personally have had to allow the Lord to work on within me, and waiting can be a very hard season of all our lives.

With patience being a fruit of the Spirit, it is so important that we seek God to help us become patient in the waiting of our seasons. I don’t know about you, but with COVID-19, there is a lot to be waiting for. We are literally sitting here waiting for this season to pass and it can get quite discouraging. But today, I am here to encourage you how to see seasons of waiting. In Psalm 27:14, David shows us how to approach seasons of waiting:

“Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Through the seasons of waiting, God is not leaving us to deal with it alone, instead, He is telling us that He is with us through every single moment of that waiting. We are to wait ‘ON’ Him, meaning we are literally leaning on Him and He takes our whole weight through it all.

He is with us through every single moment of that waiting.

Secondly, we have no reason to be miserable or angry or even fed up by waiting - actually we are to be the opposite- as patience it is a gift in itself and it produces more fruit! During times of waiting, God is doing a work within our hearts and it realigns us to becoming who He calls us to be! During the time of waiting we are able to lean, learn and grow in many ways. Being in a season of waiting is never a bad thing.

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” -James 1:4

This verse clearly shows that seasons of waiting are worth every second as they are God building us up to do His work within our hearts. Being patient is required a lot in today’s world, there is always something to be waiting for. This can seem negative or positive depending on how you view it.

Are you going to view seasons of waiting the way God intended, or how the enemy wants you to think they have been intended to be?

I encourage you to use the season of waiting to truly seek the Lord, and let Jesus reveal to you new and amazing things. Let this be the season of growing in faith, understanding, and our walks with Christ!
